Animal House

Casino

Who we are

The casino is named Animal House, a clever play on the term “the house,” which is often used to refer to a casino. The name hints at the thrill of gambling with a touch of humor. There is animal imagery throughout the design to add elements of excitement without compromising the high-end feel. It’s also a place to let loose and act like an animal.

The problem I’m addressing through this brand design is that current casino branding feels outdated. They feel disconnected from younger audiences. Traditional casinos are often filled with dark interiors, heavy fabrics, and dated patterns. All things that don’t resonate with modern tastes. The atmosphere can feel stale rather than inviting. I want to redesign the casino experience to feel alluring to a younger audience, ideally between the ages 21–35. I wanted to create a space where younger adults feel drawn to socialize and indulge. I aim to create a space that feels both luxurious and approachable. The goal is to make a night at the casino feel like a high-end experience rather than just a place grandmas go to run the slot machines.

Environment

House Liquors

I extended the branding to environmental elements too such as, casino tables, the bar area, signage, napkins, and menus. The poker set, liquor bottles, and more all carry through the same design identity. I created every element to feel intentional and aligned with the brand. Animal house has its own line of house liquors. Featured is a Gin, Whiskey, and vodka as shown below

custom game pieces

A big part of the project was creating a cohesive brand identity that extends beyond just the physical space. I designed custom game pieces that elevate the overall brand. The casino cards, poker chips, and casino tables were all designed with the brand’s luxurious yet playful identity in mind. (talk about the process) Each piece is crafted to ensure that every part of the casino experience feels cohesive, luxurious, and fun.
